It could have been a facehugger. And then she wouldn't get rid of it from her face that easily.

I didn't because I imagined it was myself who got hit by the evil facehugger of the plant world - I bet it was VERY painful, I'm surprised she didn't break her nose. Facehugger seems a nice board nickname
In the Polish translation of the Aliens it was translated as Facecatcher because there was no way that it would sound well in here if translated literally. Facehugger anyway sounds like a name for some cuddly fluffy pet taht loves its owner and being hugged by them - like a Carebear or something
