this is an extremely sad song.
try to not watch the video as it was added by people who were trying to get a slice of the limelight.
just press play and look away.

Sad song about a persons mental breakdown and this is the last time Pink Floyd performed together ever-as they can never perform together again since one member has now passed away. The music has a mournful quality and David Gilmours voice is still fine after all these years-just goes to show if you take care of yourself you dont disinergrate in your later years.

Yrushalayim Shel Zahav is a very moving song/poem.

What brings me to tears is how the beautiful Ofra Hazza (the singer) died.

The last line in the song is what makes me weep-"And it's only the giving that makes you-what you are"

Not much to say but to remember that Freddie Mercury was dying very quickly when they recorded this song and it is so appropriate-in the middle of the song when he sings "You can be anything you want to be-just turn yourself into anything you could ever be" is so genius.

Carrickfergus, by Celtic Woman
When I first heard this song upon starting up Endless Ocean 2 on my Wii, I almost cried. The song itself and the meaning of the song, just make me want to cry.

The Death of Hope(Star Wars Episode 3)
The music and the scene combined have made me cry so many times. My friend who is an NT has the same problem. He can't watch the scene without becoming really depressed. He says that the music makes him feel as if a very close family has just died. I cry because it represents the death of Hope, at least until the very end when the Force theme kicks in as Owen and Beru watch the sun set with Baby Luke. But the nostalgia of that little part at the end makes me cry as well. I grew up with Star Wars, it's almost religious to me.

Order 66 theme(Star Wars Episode 3)
When I watch the Order 66 scene, I cry as well. It's also as a result of the scene and the music. I remembered that I yelled out when Plo koon was killed. Plo Konn was my favorite character in Star Wars at the time and had been since about 2001, and I was so depressed when I saw him die. I had grown up reading the comics as well as the movies, so these weren't all just background characters, they were characters I cared about as much as I did the main characters. I had read the comic version of Order 66 before I saw the movie, so I saw the scene coming, but they left out a few deaths in the comic version.

Taegukgi theme
This song makes me cry because of when it plays. It plays throughout the movie a few times, most notably when the main characters(who are brothers and best friends) remember their life before they were drafted into the Korean war. I cried so much watching this movie, it's not even funny.

Time and Tide(Plague Dogs)
I cry because of what this song means in the context of the movie. there is no version with Plague Dogs itself, but there are a few AMV's with Wolf's Rain. Because the song could work in the context of Wolf's Rain, and because both the movie Plague Dogs and Wolf's Rain deal with dogs/wolves, I put that up. I don't like the song from 2:40 to the end however, as it breaks into a sort of gospel song.

Prayer, by Hayley Westenra
I first heard this, much like I did with Carrickfergus, upon starting up an Endless Ocean game, in this case, the first one. I didn't like it at first, but when you hear it while diving, it just... I don't know how to explain it.

One World, by Celtic Woman
At the end of Endless Ocean 2, you find yourself surrounded by around 40 whales of many different species along with a few pods of dolphins. Then this song kicks in. This moment was the most beautiful scene in a videogame I have ever experienced.

Anything by Buckley really. This live version of Hallelujah is especially saddening.

Fast Car - Tracy Chapman

This song reminds me of my mom's life before she and dad got married. I'm not sure whether she would agree or not, but I think it's good that I associate this song with her life because putting music to sad situations helps me to feel sympathy/empathy better.

Hands - Jewel

The first time I ever heard this song was when a news company set it to a montage of footage from the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

If You're Not The One - Daniel Bedingfield

This song reminds me of my ex-best friend, because I was in unrequitted love with her. To add insult to injury, I also heard this song on the radio twice on the day of my grandma's funeral.

Superman - Five for Fighting

As childish as this sounds, this song reminds me of my childhood hero, the titular character from the animated film Balto. It makes me think of what a difficult life he led. I'm glad someone made a music video with footage from the film:

I'm Already There - Lonestar

I used to hear this song on the radio when my dad went to work on construction jobs out-of-state for months at a time, and it made me cry every time. A lot of people seem to associate this song with military husbands/dads, but the lyrics are vague enough that it could be applied to any family who has been separated from the husband/dad in their lives.
