More importantly how to match colors. I know there are some tricks to it but I haven't figured it out yet. I usually wear jeans with black or white shoes and a black sweater. I've progressed a little these last years but I'm still clueless to most of this stuff.

I usually wear the same, nothing wrong with that.

I also tend to wear the same things, colours aren't really that much of an issue, when I saw the topic I thought you might be referring to the physicality of dressing which I have always had problems with, I never seem to concentrate/focus, most clothing gets put on the wrong way around or inside out, fortunately you can feel when something is wrong and so know to fix it, very irritating all the same and means dressing overall takes longer to do.

You can usually wear anything with jeans, but I would avoid black shoes or any shoes that are dark in color. Light brown shoes can go with shirts of almost any color, but not dark brown shoes.

If you want to wear bright-colored shoes (like this), it's usually a good idea to wear a shirt that's just as bright and as loud--but that has a different color from your shoes (like this).
