Any of you ever been to a convention alone?

The title says it all. Basically, what I meant, to be precise, is an entertainment convention like an anime convention or something like Comic-Con or something. To be honest, I'm actually organising an outing with some members of a forum like Wrong Planet called A-CASE to this anime convention in my home country, Singapore, called Anime Festival Asia. But the problem is that alot of them are either too busy due to work or studies or hardly ever go online (here in Singapore, the special needs people here rarely ever join forums like this one except for some of us). So, in short, I, sadly, have to go on my own. Now the reason why it's a big deal for me is because, of all the conventions I've been to all my life, not one person ever came alone. So any of you ever been to a convention alone?

Im not sure that Ive ever been to a convention like your talking about but I have been to plenty of things alone like concerts or sports events. I really dont like going alone but I enjoy going to those things. I usually find someone I know there or make some new friends and hang out with them there

Been to Otakon a couple times on my own. It's fun for the first day and half, but all the crowds and noise make me depressed eventually and I'd usually leave by afternoon on Saturday.

It's not so fun on one's own as it's really a group experience.

If I don't have any mate to go anywhere, I go alone. Why to give up?
