I wasn't born deaf.
I got the mumps when I was six and it affected my hearing.
I also stopped talking at that time.
I wear hearing aids in both ears.

I'm not deaf but I have learnt a little bit of Auslan Sign language, there's a lady who is deaf at the supermarket I go to so I sign to her she helps me if I get stuck, I know a little Fingerspell as well.
