Do you ever imagine a tragedy happening in a familiar place?

Like earlier today, I thought about what it would be like if a gunman went on a shooting rampage in a building at my university. I imagined where people would duck for cover and where the gunmen would start. Please don't take this seriously, I'm just simply imagining here. I do not have any anger against people I need to let out.

So, anyone ever imagine a shooting rampage or any tragedy in a familiar place?

I don't really need to: we already had terrorists actions here in Paris - France.
No need to imagine what happened or what could happen, just have to remember.

Wasn't it just a plot?

I'm not talking on what's going on now.
I'm talking of what happened many times and many years ago.

In very popular - and not specially touristic - places.
Many many people were killed and many more were marked for the rest of their lifetime.

Yes. When I go outside to run in the park, I imagine getting kidnapped or raped there. It's probably because my parents watch a lot of shows where that kind of thing happens, and they always warn me that it could happen to me.

Sometimes I imagine getting beaten up by a group of teenage girls who would video tape it and post it on Youtube. That kind of thing really does happen, by the way - I've heard numerous stories about teenage girls beating up other girls for absolutely no reason other than to video tape it. I actually was harassed by teenage girls a few weeks ago, but thankfully I got home before they could start something.

Other times I imagine getting in a car accident on the way to the grocery store or on the way home from going with my mom to take my brother to school.

Sorry  , I thought you do it for fun like making up what would happen in a movie.

All the time. I've imagined very elaborate scenarios where something very bad happened and what the aftermath would be. I don't find it the least bit fun, but I can't help it.

Oh, I do think of it as a movie - but it's a bad kind of daydream. It's upsetting to me, so I'm not sure why I like to daydream about it. Maybe it's because I want to prepare myself in case something like that ever does happen to me.

Well, I do think of Zombie invasions.

But then, zombies don't scare me half as much as a legion of robots trying to exterminate the human race.

And then, alien invasions would be even worse.
