my digital camera seems broke... any help?

hi there!

I am kind of addicted to my digital (okay cheap... ) camera but now it seems broke
It has got a LCD screen. Now the problem is, it shows a big crack in it when I turn it on. when its shut off Nothing is there to see. Also the outside lens seems to be fine... so can anyone tell me if it is the lcd which is broke now or (one of) the lenses? ... I could cry about it but tears wont fix the thing... anyway, is it fixable at all?

Hopefully somebody here can give me a hand here, Thanks!

I'm no expert, but it sounds unfixable to me. Maybe time to treat yourself to a new one?

hihi, I like your thoughts about treating myself a new one! I do know if the problem is in the lcd screen I could fix it (youtube, i love you!).

btw is it possible it broke because of being strucked by lighning? I am thinking about how this had happen... The ting hanged on the cable to the pc to transver the pics. somehow whenn I got it off the pc again I saw that crack in the screen.
Happy as I am I can still make photo's and vids so That would mean it's not (one of) the lenses? although it is kind of hard to switch between and through the menu's now. only quarter in the left corner gives me a good vieuwable part...

As long as I can take my pics I'm partial happy... I think I need to look for a cuddle-dragon pretected camera. This is the 3rd one since my kids where born (and they are 16 months...)
