Ana54, that's really strange that it didn't dawn on you that you could ask about this  You always conceive so interesting ideas of asking questions :D

So what about you? Personally, I had a very distant relative (born in 1901 if I'm right; now he's already dead, of course) who was a relatively famous writer in our region of country. He used to write short stories about people living in his village. I have one book with his stories, "Road through the village" on my shelf - one of tales is about my great - great grandfather who died in 1937 and was a kind of witch-doctor in his village. According to this short story he was famous for his medical achievements despite the lack of medical education but was also very greedy and his patients had to pay him a lot of money. But my grandma, asked by me if this was true, informed me that my ancestor wasn't greedy, heartless man at all and this part of the story wasn't taken from a real life but from the author's imagination. 8)

My sister's husband is the son of a cartoonist who worked for Walt Disney years ago and when Walt Disney was still living.
You wouldn't know his name...but, he worked on films like "Fantasia" and created "Chip and Dale" after my brother-in-law and his
younger brother.

My grandmother was a well known artist, and my Mother married someone in the 'blockheads' as in Ian Dury and the blockheads.

Not to brag, considering his historic down-chievment , but Ulysses S. Grant was family on my dad's maternal side... I also lived 2 doors down from Melissa McKnight, who later married Matt La Blanc from Friends. She, my sister and I used to watch the old Charlies angels show together..I also remember that Steven Sweet, aka Steve Chamberlain, the drummer form Warrant was a couple years ahead of me in school..he was very quiet and serious in school, quite intelligent, too. In fact, they were both in the same class....all from a little ol place in Ohio.....

One of my ancestors is William Hone, a satirist contemporary of Dickens and one who had successfully fought against press censorship by the government in Britain.

My great great uncle was the first Texas-born governor of Texas, one of my relatives was a famous English composer (and was a favorite student of Mozart), and another guy is a famous psychologist who works with people with Asperger's (except I'm not sure how related he is). That's all the famous people in my family that I know, at least for now.

I believe that I'm a somewhat distant cousin of a baseball player who currently plays for the Seattle Mariners.

Oh, that's right. I remember you saying something about a tantrum-caused assault.

I wish I could punch people to close into my personal space, but then again, I'd be arrested every time I went into a restaurant or rode a train.
