See when you first come on to this site and you see the kid spitting out the pills on the top of your monitor, does it make you wretch? I hate that advertisement!! !

I never notice anything like that. I'm totally focused on the post in question.

Sometimes advertisements can be really annoying (at least to me). Specially when the page you want to load is interrupted by some advertisement about losing weight, ringtones, screen savers so on and so forth. Just to know that I am not interested in any of them makes matters even worse.

So as long as I don't pay any attention to them, they don't bother me.

I completely ignore ads on the net although I've noticed that they do really interfere with my upload time sometimes

I haven't noticed the ad.

Download an ad blocker. I did that a couple of weeks ago and all the ads are gone now. Much more pleasant, I must admit.

I did that a few months ago because I kept accidentally moving my mouse over an ad & my WP page would load the freaking ad by simply highlighting it. I understand that advertising is necessary because WP gets money from it that goes to running this site but I think some of these advertisements are very inappropriate for this community. I'd make a small donation to off-set the advertising money WP is losing by me blocking the ads but I cant find a link to donate
