It's a question rather for the inhabitants of towns/villages and not cities because then there would be too many people like that to count. Who is the most famous person coming from the same place as you? In my case it would be for example some handball player (about whom I wouldn't even have heard if not the fact he lost his eye this year which was a big deal on the media). When I googled my town, I was left with many names but actually almost nobody of the owners of those came from the town, they typically were born in a different town or village and at some point of their life settled in here.

really no one from my home town (pop. 8000)

however, Henry Rollins used to regularly thank one of its residents in his album liner notes. 8)

there you go, a mystery for bored WP users to solve.

My town has a famous surfer, who's sister also became a famous bikini model (dubbed "the world's most downloaded woman").
But I can't for the life of me remember their surnames!

You know Prince William, second in line to the throne of England?
You also know he's getting married to a "Kate Middleton"?

Both me and her come from Reading in England. We were also born in the same hospital.

How's that for a famous person from the same town as you?

Zlatan Ibrahimović

Used to hang with his little brother every time I visited a friend who lived in the neighborhood he comes from (Rosengård, Malmö). He always had these cool sponsor things that his brother gave him, like mp3 players and stuff like that, wacky promotional swag.

Ernest Hemingway moved to Idaho and lived here during the last few years of his life.

Also, the infamous US senator Larry Craig is from Idaho.

I believe Jack Nicholson is from here in New Jersey. Buzz Aldrin & of course "The Boss" Bruce Springsteen are the hometown boys from NJ.

Sandra Bullock went to high school not too far from where I live. Helga Meyer, Sandra's mom taught voice lessons at Mary Washington College which is near where I live. Dave Grohl from Foo Fighters lived in Northern VA as well. His mom taught at a high school near by where I live.

Well, he wasn't born in Juarez, but Ramon Valdez started acting and stuff when he was living in Juarez. His family moved there when he was like two. And his Don Ramon or Ron Damon on el Chavo del 8 is unforgettable. Especially his tantrums, and mistakes with Sr.Barriga's name. Elizabeth Alvarez is from Juarez, though.
