Well, after hearing a couple whine-fests from shorter people as of late, I have decided to compile a list of reasons why being tall sucks. Please note some of them are meant to be a bit satirical in nature, and maybe a bit dark, all for humors sake. And whoever reads this can feel free to add to the list. Yes, I WILL acknowedge there are good things about being tall, but I really also want to make this list to point out the positives of being vertically challenged...

1)We are much easier for snipers to hit due to our... ahem.... stature.... even more so if you also have a huge head.
2)We are far more prone to back and joint problems due to many reasons, including...
-----Much further distance to bend when picking stuff up off the ground
-----We tend to fare worse due to societies habit of build for those of the average size. We dont like being packed like sardines while everyone else of AVERAGE size gets at least some head and leg room.
3)Some airlines we actually have to pay more for our height. Yes, it actually happens, its just that its been overshadowed by the whole "fat people pay more" attitude the media takes on.
4)I hate how everyone has to assume I play basketball.
5)everyone bugs ya to reach the top shelf, even if they themselves can reach it with a little effort, those lazy bastards :/
6)We are much more prone to stepping on the young ones, many poor teeeny weeny children get seriously injured every year because we cant f*****g see them.
7)We have a larger carbon footprint due to a few factors. We need more oxygen as well as the fact we naturally expel a bit more carbon. We also have to consume a bit more in the way of calories. Many taller people skimp out on buying highly fuel efficient vehicles BECAUSE THEY ARE MADE FOR PEOPLE QUITE A BIT Smaller THAN US :/
8)Always whacking your head off of s**t, yeah, it does hurt quite a bit, trust me on that.
9)We have to pay more for specially sized clothes.
10) Makes... lovemaking.... ehm.... difficult.... if you happen to be ones of those couples with a large size difference...
11)We are also prone to having an enlarged heart, so yeah... maybe mine will just explode on of these da..........................................................ffffffffffffffqweqqqqq

since you are curious, 6'6"

EDIT: well, unlike some people on the forums, I am fairly difficult to offend, unless someone is just being plain old moronic.

People think you're older (this applies to children)

You can't fit into girl's clothes while kids your age still can so you are forced to get clothes from the Juniors section (this also applies to children)

People expect you to throw farther just because you have long arms

I like being tall (I'm 6'0), I don't like the world of small people. It's hard to buy long clothes (I really don't like to show my belly) and clothes with proper proportions (waist on bust, too low pants). I often buy men's clothes and I decrease a waist (I'm hourglass shaped). It's hard to find long tights and big, but not wide, gloves and shoes. Long =/= wide.

I don't like ATMs and washbasins locked on the height of my knees/thighs. I hate beds shorter than 2. I stoop a lot, because many things are sooo low.

I don't care that I must eat more than average woman, but I hate to get small portions, because I'm woman.
I know that I must take larger dose of meds, because I'm bigger and I have more water.

I have lower bloodpressure, because I'm tall. I have Raynaud's and my height makes this problem worse.

I don't have to ask people for giving me something from high shelf at shop, because I'm tall enough to take it myself. But sometimes elderly ladies ask me and I don't like it (but I do).

People expect you to run faster because you have longer legs.

all through school PE teachers and other students were mystified at my inability to play basketball even though i was tall. they forgot to remember that it takes more than simple height to be able to be athletically inclined.

I come from a family of tall people. I'm the oldest of my siblings and the shortest at 6' 2"

all of those things are so true. I am 6' 1" and I move slow and awkwardly. I seem to always hit my head on something. Im clumsy and being tall makes it worse cause I have to worry about things above me. I hit my head on a cabinet above me a couple days ago. I have long legs though and if I ever had to run from a zombie or something the short person behind me would get it before me. So that's a plus
