I hate when viruses go around (as in cold, flu, ect)

Anyone else hate November to January, when every single family have at least person with a virus?

I like them. The largers ones can be cute and fluffy and make good, low maintenance pets.

I meant I hate getting them. I hate that season where they're going around, and people keep coming into work with them and passing them on to others. I think everyone should get sick pay in winter time, to stop people from coming into work with Swine Flu's and other viruses like that. It's an act of Health & Safety Rights - remember? (See - the government is to blame for everything.)

I don't like getting sick, either.

I worked in a place once where one of my coworkers would have a different cold every freaking week. I'd of course always end up catching it by Tuesday. I swear that guy was a walking Petri dish.

For some bizarre reason, though, when I get a cold some of my lost cognitive abilities come back. Have no idea why.

They are actually really cool, but yeah getting sick sucks.

f**k viruses. I can't stand the things, they are what I fear the most. I'd rather fall off a building and break both my legs and arms than have a run-of-the-mill stomach bug. I'm like a bag of nerves all through Autumn and Winter, especially this year.

I hate viruses as well. I recently kept on recatching the same cold over, and over, and over.

Thankfully it's gone now, but I was incredibly frustrated for three weeks.

Funny you should mention that, I read somewhere that autistics often feel better during times of illness such as when they have a cold because of autistics supposedly having an altered immune system and autism being an immune related illness.

I have a very good immune system, and I don't normally get colds, but sometimes I have a run of colds, then not have any for about 2 years, until the next time. But the trouble is, the couple of years where I don't get any colds goes so quick, then it sort of shocks me when I do finally get a cold, then that week where I have the cold goes on for ages.

Touch wood, I haven't had a sick bug for 13 years.

I'm the same, my immune system is excellent and I only have mild-moderate colds once every year or less, I'm never in bed with them or anything. I haven't had a sick bug since I was 9. But I'm still s**t scared of getting them, I felt a twinge in my stomach the other day and had a panic attack because of it, it felt like it lasted ages. Then I had a mini one later that evening.

Like MONKEY, I am also terrified of stomach viruses.

However, I don't mind catching colds. I tend to catch them at least once a year.

I'm scared s**t of getting a sick bug too.

I am so scared that I've actually got the power to fight them away. A few years ago I felt sick and I had the runs, and I really felt like I was getting something, but I laid there in bed and was so close to throwing up - but I concentrated so much on not being sick that I sweated really bad, and my heart was thumping fast, and my legs kept on moving involuntary, then the nausea wore off after that, and I was literally so exhausted from all that, that I literally fell asleep with in 2 seconds after the nausea went, and I woke up in the morning and felt fine.

My mum says she reckons that could have been a sick bug I was fighting off with fear, because my brother was actually sick the next night, so there must have been a bug going about in my house.
