spam messages on WP

hello, does anyone else have this problem?

I keep getting PMs along the lines of "hi, i think you're really cool, i'll send you picture if you give me your email address", and, most recently "I want to be your freind (spelt wrong) do you have a facebook" from users i've had no contact with. Any ideas how to prevent spam?

I get those messages a lot. I just delete them.

Report them to the mods whenever you get one.
