I was thinking back on the past a few minutes ago, and although some memories in my past seem really long ago, there are some that feel like they just happened yesterday. I will post one of my memories, and I would like for you to post some of your memories that seem like they only happened yesterday.
Back in the late 1970s and very early 1980s (when I was in school), I used to like to go into our den and turn off the lights after it got dark outside. I liked to stare out of the windows toward the street lamps in the town across the railroad tracks in front of our house. From the den everything was so quiet---all I could see were the lights and distant cars---but no sound. I feel like it was only yesterday when I used to do that.
Although many memories seem like they just happened, I still feel like they were years ago. But looking out the den windows after nightfall feels very recent.
