(Personal question) Do you see any resemblance?

I feel kinda embarrassed because I think somewhere in random discussion I said I looked very much like James Taylor. I really don't know his music at all, but I've been told a few times that I look like a young version of him. Looking at this picture I'm starting to doubt it. Like I see some resemblance, but it's not all there. I've seen younger pictures of him as well which looked a bit more like me so maybe he's just much older than me in this pic. I don't know but I figured I'd ask here on WP cuz aspies are good at being blunt

Here's the picture of myself. It's in black and white because I felt more comfortable taking the picture that way. Also my web cam makes skin tones a rainbow of colors so it just looks much better this way . Also the pic of me is taken from below me because I couldn't take the picture at face level where as the other picture of him is taken more at face level. Note: I may break the link on this picture in a few weeks.

Any resemblance? I wont be heart-broken if there isn't. I'm just trying to figure out why I'm being told I look very much like him when I'm starting to not see it

You two look like identical twins. Very handsome identical twins, I might add.

I think your cheekbones and jaw are a bit different. Maybe if you focus on these aspects of a face when you try to recognize/compare it to others, you tend to neglect how similar many other aspects of the two faces ion question are. I know that I myself often focus strongly on the hair and eyes of a person and tend to neglect the nose and mouth and thus I sometimes miss a resemblance when I'm not actively looking for it. But apart from your looking a lot like this guy, I reckon you are rather handsome yourself, Lace-Bane.

I kind of half expected people to say there wasn't as much of a resemblance, but I guess I was wrong . I started this post because I felt awkward about the post I placed in the past saying I looked alot like James Taylor, but sofar it seems I had nothing to feel that awkward about .

I think my jaw is a bit wider... because I clench my teeth when I take pictures and that may be why it seems even wider... but even if I didn't clench my teeth my jaw width (Toward the back) is just a tad shorter than the width of my cheek bones I think. So yeah I think that is a bit different . Like I mentioned though the picture is taken from a low angle so I think that makes my jaw look more pronounced in the picture .

the OP might consider getting an agent, and start modeling for a living. just a thought.

I have face-blindness, but you two look very similar, if not all together identical.

In the face, very little resemblance.
It's just the hairstyle and style of facial hair that are similar.

I haven't really thought about that. I remember when I was younger (16 or so) having someone ask me if I'd be interested in modeling, but I was too nervous and I don't have a high self esteem so I said no. Now it sounds like it would be a pretty easy job and probably should have said yes
