I have handed in a poem I to the writing section of WP
and it's not up there! I'M A HORRIBLE POET!
AND EVERYONE WHO KNOWS ME LIES AND SAYS:
"your so good Marlys your talented"
there full of lies now I hate my family and freinds.
for christ sake this is like highschool!
i,m serisuoly crying my eyeballs out
i thought i would be happy here but a lot of people
here are STUCK UP!
i want to be acepted here it took me an hour to post my picture
and nobody said anything about it because i'm a newbie!
everybody gets coments on there pics but me!
i bet alot of people here are NTs! they shouldent be aloud here! there sick and wrong people!
theres all kinds of forums for normal people
i'm such a loser! NOBODY REPLYS TO ANYTHING I SAY!
i have only had a few. this site isent fair
and i'm going to do anything i can here to get a few stupid little
stars and than everyone would listen too me!
theres nowhere for me to go
i am so messed up that people of my own kind stick there noses up at me!

Where's the post a pic? I forgot and can't seem to find it. With that said, you were given peoples IM addresses. Mine included. I hear from Caster and Fernando, but not from you. I also noticed other people gave you their addresses as well. I'd contact you but I can't find you. Try me again. I'm with Yahoo.......ctc6192005. Hope to visit with you soon.

it's like no one took me seriously
it wasent ment to be funny!

1 reply! if a moderator posted it would have
gotten tons of replys!
why am i so unpopular! the way we are acting here
is NOT how aspies should be.

I know!, I get the same feeling here.
I went and logged on to this site hoping i can feel
like i or we belong. :(
but it turns out nobody wants to reply to my pm s
which lets me down a little but much like in the real world
i never stop trying.

btw. I pm'ed you 2 times up to now- answer as you see fit.

i think
this site should be an :arrow: ASPERGER ONLY
site, as in NT restricted zone.

I thought we were all brothers and sisters here.

I think you really should try to calm down. Some of us are conceited. It goes along with the territory. There are quite a few of us who don't reply to everyone, because they don't find anything to connect with. It's not that they don't connect with you, but that they don't connect with maybe some of your interests. It's not our fault. It's just the way we are.

I also think that you're probably not going to fare much better in most, if not all, NT sites. Really ... It's just the way we are. A lot of us tend to think in egocentric terms, and it's not easy for us to connect with anything that we don't identify with. If we do connect like that, we have to start putting on a disguise, if you know what I mean.

We have popularity? I hadn't noticed anyone not responding to any of my posts, but then again I don't hang about much on the 'interests' areas because none of them coincide with any of my interests. Then again, I don't get huffy when someone doesn't respond to a post I make, because I always figure that it was just that no one had anything to say about it. Cheer up and stop taking things as personal affronts. I promise you that no one's ignoring you because you're a bit new.

By the way, please don't talk about NTs as 'disgusting.' I notice a lot of anti-NT sentiment and downright hate here, and it bothers me--I think people here sometimes forget that NTs and Aspies/auties are not intrinsically better than one another, just different, and that NTs aren't all evil. Well, look at your own families! I may not understand anything my NT family members enjoy or why they enjoy it, and they don't really understand my own views and interests, but I certainly don't think there's anything wrong with a little difference. Is it really that difficult to get along?

Well, I don't reply to half the stuff I read.
And I feel like others probably do the same, because it takes effort, and it opens up a line of communication, which can sometimes just feel like too much work.
I write stuff occasionaly, and don't get many replies, because I'm just not consistently active I think.
I've been around here forever.

I actually remember reading a couple of your posts, and thinking about responding, but probably didn't. I don't think I ever saw the picture, but I recognize your avatar when I see it. I always loved the Beatles, and I became really obsessed with the "paul is dead" thing at one time, trying to find all the little clues and such you know. A lot of aspies seem to be into the beatles.

Anyway, don't feel bad, just remember that communication is a challenge for a lot of us, even online.

I do the same. I read almost everything that goes on around here; I take note of most of it. I reply infrequently because in most cases I don't feel I can add anything of value to the discussion.

Ditto. If I don't have anything real to say, I won't say it. Add that to my mild paranoia of looking like an idiot, and I don't post that often.

I've also seen you around a bit, mostly in here playing games. I've never seen anyone ignore you here, either.

Post things that are at least somewhat controversial, and as a result, are likely to get people to reply. Some of the topics I've posted about are shown below, and those members who have read my posts for a while would probably notice a pattern.

Here are some of the topics I often write about.
* Escort services
* Israel and my experiences with it
* Creative solutions to bullying
* Trains and railroads
* Relationships with parents
* Childhood nightmares (the sleeping kind)
* Judaism and Jewish culture

My advice to you is this. Think about the topics that you know you're good at, then try to find ways to write about them that'll get people to reply with their own opinions. Although you should stay away from volatile topics like abortion, euthanasia, religion, and politics (they start nothing but flame wars), some controversy is good when getting people to reply to your posts.

Well it seems to me that you get a pretty good reply to your posts. I am sorry to hear you feel that way. Alot of people are busy and some have A.D.D. so will only reply to posts which they feel a simularity with.

When I said Hi in on the board only one person welcomed me and that was one more than I expected. I try to say hi to everyone but for me personally replying to every topic would take to much time and I would have nothing to say. So this goes for everyone I am more than happy to talk to anyone so please feel free to pm me.

Also all lets stop bashing NTs 95% are ignorant of as and thats not there fault the world reinforces the rejection of people that don't fit into the idea of normalcy.

I am not a NT i just play one in R/L :lol:

I think it has to do really with the amount of members on a forum. With lots of members, there are a lot more people that get attention, not everybody will get it. If there were few members, there would be more "bonding."

For example. I am a moderator on one of those free proboards forums, it is called Paradise City. You can find this board in a link in my sig. We have a lot of registered members, but very few members that regularly post, less than 20, and everyone knows each other and are really close, much more closer than on a mainstream forum such as Wrong Planet.

It is like a small town/big city thing. In a city like LA, you don't know anyone besides friends and relatives. I live in Phoenix, Arizona, and that is a good example. But when I was younger, I lived in a really small town, with 3 restaurants and one small gas station, a town that was lucky to even have a school. In a small town, many of the residents are close, like one big family.

hi i responded to zombo.com.......i thought it was stupid until i tried obmoz.com....then i really laughed.
dont diss nt's.........it is like they diss us aspies, if we diss them then they will diss us, we need nt's to understand us, we live in their world wether we like it or not.
we are all trying to help each other in here but a lot of nt's are also in here trying to figure out how to save their relationships and children from aspie problems so they should be made to feel welcome.
also aspies can be cruel people and try to s**t on eah others ideas...but that is life it just is...you seem to have a lot of responses this time...welcome to your world.

Well, I saw your post a pic earlier (after you posted), but I didn't say anything even though I thought, "hmm. That's a cute picture."

I think you need to keep in mind that most of the people on this site are horrid introverts due to their condition, even for being on the internet. There are people who have lurked on this board for many many months without ever posting more than a few times. I've seen lots of posts on here with a huge number of views but almost no replies. One might say, it's "a tough crowd".

Don't get discouraged. I think it's a crowd worth working towards.

It probably has less to do with popularity so much as the content of the post.

A few of mine haven't either.

But then again, how do you respond to nonsense like "Hail Squiggy!".

Of course, look at this post. You're getting lots of responses.

Also, I suspect you may be mixing popularity up with rivalries. It would seem that a number of the people on here can't stand each other. (I wonder if I'll ever earn myself a nemesis...)
