I've always wondered who the oldest and youngest members are... and also, the average age of people on the site.

Maybe this belongs in another section of the forums.

Does anyone know anything about who may be the oldest/youngest (aside from the people who say they're 160something), or any other age statistics?
I'm just curious. XD

I'm currently nineteen years old, but I'll turn twenty in July.

I'd say that the average age range for people on Wrong Planet is within the twenties to thirties age range.

Most people on here seem to be in their 20s and 30s. I remember one person said they were 8 years old, but they either stopped posting or got banned (in the US, you're not legally allowed to use forums if you're under 13). I also remember one poster whose age display said they were in their 70s or 80s.

yes, 20 comes after 19.

What? Someone had to point this out. Not like you can go from 19 to 30.

I'm 28 sense I was born in Nov 1982 but my mental age is 13 8O

I remember saying "19-soon-to-be-20" a lot before my birthday. I think the reason why so many 19 year olds like to say that is because turning 20 officially means you're no longer a teenager and they're eager to put their teenage years behind them. 13 to 20 is a long stretch of time, especially when you consider that it's the time when your hormones are running rampant and your peers are at their cruelest. So, yeah, I can see why they're eager to put the last of their teen years behind them.

You might just be getting the ages of those who visit the Random Discussion forum (which I usually don't).

This is true and a problem which would exist regardless of the subforum the question was posted in.

I am 14 years of age. 14 seems to definitely be the cruellest year of my life to date, I shudder to imagine the strain on 15 year olds.

Majority of those using this forum will be 20-30 year olds, I imagine. I doubt that any 7 year olds will be using this forum either.

My worst year of my life was probably when I was thirteen. I was having identity issues, I was picked on all the time at school, and I seemed to have behaved more obnoxiously than ever before.

When I was fourteen, I went through a slight "emo" phase. It was definitely an awkward year for me, but certainly a step up from age thirteen.

Age fifteen was actually a fun year for me. It was the year I started high school, and I made a lot of new friends and went on some fun field trips.

Things gradually got better for me as I got older.
