Cleaning spirits?

This is going to sound crazy so brace yourselves.

Has anyone ever tried asking / praying for a cleaning spirit will come down and clean bad energy from the house before? I read a book about such practices by William Bloom, Psychic protection for people and places. It was a fascinating but strange book. Anyway I tried this and some pretty amazing things happened, I'd love to give everyone a day to try this out and then hear stories.

My perception was of some light entering the room and smashing the bad energy out of me personally. Then proceeding to clean the rest of the houe! You're going to think I'm nuts now.

I don't know anything about cleaning spirits, but my friend, who's from Belarus, told me that in Slavic countries, they use cats to check a place for negative energy before buying or renting a new residence. If a cat seems comfortable, they go through with the transaction. But if a cat starts acting restless or bolts out of the place, they refuse the offer. Supposedly, it indicates that there's "something bad" present, which can affect the human owners some time down the road.

I'm a Secular Humanist & I've started occasionally praying to meet a certain celebrity crush; I'm not joking I cant say if your crazy or not Adamantus but only going by this post; you are no more crazier than me I think praying can be about sorting your mind out sometimes & a relaxation technique

I've said a prayer a couple of years ago for the cleaning spirits to clean all the bad energy from my apartment, and it worked.

I sometimes do banishing or exorcism rituals to get rid of bad vibes. I often burn a little sage if I'm feeling bedeviled.

Pity they don't do dishes as well.

It's not uncommon in Christianity - but of course directed to Jesus and not spirits.

I've been cleaned out of spirits before.

I've never heard of using spirits for that purpose, but I've done the LBRP a few times.

I've seen people spit out hard liquor around the house, and i'm all like wow wow what a complete waste of alcohol!!

to get rid of spirits. so i guess you need some spirits to get rid of them?

I am really interested in spiritual things.

There are all sorts of magic rituals to protect your home or to cleanse your space.

Do they "work"? That doesn't really matter. As long as you THINK they work you will feel calmer and safer.

As children we all made up rituals to protect us from the "boogyman".
If you have the covers pulled over your head then the boogyman can't get you. Every child knows that.
