I have a strange reoccurring dream that I just had again last. I'm back in middle school (one of several dreaded places I revisit in my dreams) and everyone is getting ready to go home. I go to the lockers to my things, but I have no idea which locker is mine, or what my lock combination is.
But somehow I always find the right locker and open it as if by magic. That's usually all I remember before waking up. Does anyone have any idea what this dream is supposed to mean? :)

I've had similar dreams mostly reoccurring with past classmates. Not so much with individual situations. It's part of why I don't like sleeping. I sleep in complete darkness, no sound, and make sure my mind is clear, so it might be less likely to dream.

It probably means that any fears you may have are unfounded, because you always succeed in the end, seemingly by magic, but more likely by skill.

You're home free and have succeeded for the day, and you can breathe freely once again. :)

Dreams are personal things, their meaning depends entirely on what they mean to you.

Say for example a dream about a bee...to one person it means pain (sting), to one it means something good (honey), to one it means social occasion (buzzing), to one it means family (hive), but to another it may mean their mother is trying to kill them and the milkman is stealing their breakfast (traumatic childhood event, the bee just happened to bee there).

*puts on Freud voice*
So lostonearth35, you're in a place of dread, but it's a place you're leaving soon, you feel confusion about the end of this time/place/experience/feeling, but somehow you manage to overcome that confusion as if by magic, a realisation of something you thought you had forgotten....or something along those lines.

Now, if only I could figure out why I dream about zombies all the freakin' time!

I know how you feel because the majority of my dreams take place in middle school as well. I'm not sure what the lockers mean to you though.

School
To dream that you are in school, signifies feelings of inadequacy and childhood insecurities that have never been resolved. It may relate to anxieties about your performance and abilities. To dream that you are back in school in a grade you long ago graduated from, suggests that you are doubting your accomplishments and the goals that you have already completed. You feel that you may not be measuring up to the expectation of others. The dream may occur because some recent situation may have awakened old anxieties and insecurities.
Locker
To see or use a locker in your dream, signifies aspects of yourself which you have kept hidden inside. Consider what items and belongings are in the locker. In particular, to dream of a school locker, denotes hidden feelings, knowledge, and attitudes that you need to learn and/or acknowledge. To dream that you effortlessly decode the combination and open the locker indicates that you have hidden talents and strengths that you rely on to cope with life. Because the dream is "set" at the end of the day when it is time to go home, the dream is hinting that you will survive no matter what, but that you will be happier if you learn to "go with the flow" and not worry things to death.

Tell me about it! I think you are correct.

I am in my 60's for god's sake yet I keep dreaming about being back in high school. I wander down the corridor looking for the class I should be in.

The final math test is coming up and I know I will flunk it.

I am frightened yet at the same time I say "stuff it" because in the back of my mind I remember that I am a grown man and don't care.

That is one of my more common dreams.

Most of my bad dreams are about loss and uncertainty. Like I parked my car in a strange city and now I can't remember where it is. So it is getting dark and I am totally lost wandering down strange streets looking for my car.

that reminds me of charlie brown [my alter ego] always having the ball snatched away from him before he can kick it.
