I've still many bad habits to shed in regards to assertion. Namely, knowing to say "No."

blazingstar is on my mind.

I'm sorry to hear about your rough moments :( I had a similar situation with a car I had to return because it made an ungodly squeak sound, like styrofoam rubbing. I nearly went insane because of my sensory issues. I lost A LOT of money giving the car back but I had no choice, short of losing my mind. I hope you can find a solution where you can continue to drive that car and feel more safe.

((Big hugs and blazing stars)) :star: :star: :star: :star: :star:

I’m sorry about what happened with the Taurus, BlazingStar. And I know how rough it can be after these sorts of occurrences.

Time will heal this. And you will be fine.

At least the insurance covered it.

I bought a new Taurus in November and I don't like it. There are several reasons, but the most critical is there are blind spots, even with that stupid backup camera. So, at the home of a person being reviewed, when I left, I backed into a utility pole. Insurance will cover the cost to fix it. But I tried to see if I could trade it in for something else and it turns out the trade in value is $5000 less than I owe on it. Now I am afraid to drive. I am afraid about my finances. I am afraid I can't keep doing my work. I have spent the day under the covers and I really don't want to come out. I know I'll feel better soon. If not tomorrow, the day after. Just gotta hang in there.

i know a bit of how you feel. just about all cars nowadays have sacrificed clear unobstructed outward visibility for aerodynamics. so i will keep my '97 honda which has pretty good outward visibility because it is styled like a pregnant brick. there are extra-large rear view mirrors you could fit on your taurus to improve the visibility for you.

It means he doesn't think autism by itself would disqualify you, or that he wasn't sure if it would and didn't know enough to have anything more meaningful to provide. I didn't hear the tone and cadence, so I can't be 100%, but my guess is that it's somewhere between those two.

Here's what I'm literally thinking right now:

"Ahhh, are you KIDDING?!   SERIOUSLY?! What's up with (insert certain theme)?! I just recently looked up at these things related to (theme) and this one pops up in a rather straight manner. Oh, what the heck. This is going to be fun anyway."
