Don't know where to put this so I'll put this here. I was doing research into vegetarian diets for animals. I know that dogs can safely be put on a vegetarian diet (if proper care is taken) and I know that cats are classified as obligate carnivores but I wanted to know the full story before fully deciding to foo foo it.

I came across this site about Taurine (which cats can't synthisise themselves) and they indicated that Taurine may be good for various things. It apparently is made artificially regularly but I don't know enough about it.

Our Zoology lecturer mentioned that, pretty interesting. :)
I'm sure you could get taurine supplements though, if you are so inclined.
