Just for fun, could you see me being a moderator? Do you think that I'm too immature to be a moderator? Do you think I'm too sensitive to be a moderator? How about too sweet? How about too cheeky? Is there another quirk that could keep me from being a moderator?

I am too new here to be really voting for site administration but I personally think you'll make a great Moderator.

I think you'd make a good moderator, first and foremost because you are well-liked on here and (most importantly) you are on here a lot of the time. Don't worry about being "too sweet." I'm a moderator elsewhere, and one of the reasons people think I'm a great moderator is because I'm "sweet" and don't cause conflict. You need moderators who will ban people who misbehave, without fighting back and adding fuel to the fire. Also, although I don't post on here all that often, you are one of the few people who I know very well, due to how you are unique/distinct (with your Kinks special interest) and very nice/thoughtful.

You do spend a lot of time on WP Cockney & read a lot of post; that's important. You are well liked here for the most part. You do have a little controversy about you but it would be kinda unusually if you didn't considering how much you post here. I think the best way to know if someone would be a good mod is to make em a mod & see how they handle things. There is nothing about you that stands out to make me think you would be a bad one except for maybe talking about the Kinks a lot but the way you do it is far from spamming.
I think Alex picks the mods on his own & doesn't listen to community involvement much but if he did; you would have my vote unless it was a completion with someone else because I would have to analyze em as well

Why would you want to be? Horrible job for a measly title. I suppose you could do anything you put your mind to though.

Noticing you do take things the wrong way sometimes, I can see you could mistake a user for doing a personal attack when they weren't. But you always apologize when you realize you were out of line. So I can see you would probably apologize to the member for the unfair warning and take it back. Good mods apologize to their members for their mistakes and it takes guts for them to.

I also think you'd be a friendly mod and other times not be because of hearing how you get upset with members for trying to ask you about your interests and you take it the wrong way and then you would apologize for it.

And I remember you being a mod here at one point :D

Taking this post well will also show you could be a good moderator because you are open to criticism and don't take it as an attack. I think people who take these posts as attacks would make horrible mods because I just can't imagine what they'd be doing with their powers. I'd shudder if alex made them a mod here and I would think this place be bad again.

Sure. You'd be a great mod. I was very tempted to hit the "Look good in brown" option though...

I actually was a moderator here at WP between 2005 and early 2007 when things got really bad for me. I did a pretty good job of it, until I fell off my rocker and went through my dark period after a favourite member at the time ended our friendship over the fact that I don't always smell like roses and I made the mistake of mentioning it in The Haven. I made a comment such as, I slash such a person's arm with a switchblade, after he made a comment that he'd melt down all the Routemasters and turn them into bendy buses. The founding member demoded me over those two things. Think about it. Do you really want an angry 70s punk rocker as a moderator?

Well, two years after getting my life back on track, I thought that it would be fun to imagine that I'm a moderator again and start this thread. I'm having lots of fun with this. :D I wouldn't actually try to moderate the forums. Lots has changed around WP since 2006. There are just too many people with too many differences for me to handle it, and League Girl is right on the money. I am too sensitive. I'd be handling everybody with kid gloves, to avoid hurting feelings. I'd also mistake debates for attacks. I'm having a blast! :D
