Dumbest password ever.

So, I was watching the latest episode of 'House' on Monday, in which Chase (one of the doctors) gets his account on a social network site hacked by one of his jilted hookups. The other doctors thought that the girl was some sort of computer genius, until Chase informed them that his password was ... "password".

And that got me thinking about other dumb passwords. "Qwerty" is another idiotic one I've heard, as is "guest" (the password to the mainframe computer in the show "Archer FX").

So, have you guys heard any other bad passwords?

When Gawker got hacked recently, the hackers made a statement saying that "password", "qwerty", and "12345" are the most unsecure passwords, as are any variations of those, such as "password12".

And please, for the love of god, don't use the same password for everything. Only an idiot would do that and expect not be hacked. And don't tell anyone your passwords either, no matter how much you think you can trust them. They're meant to be secret for a reason.

My coworker lived to regret telling me that her birthday was her password. It earned her a scolding and pedantic lecture from me. She got another scolding when she attemnpted to tell me her new password (when I scolded her into changing it) so that I could tell her whether I thought it was secure enough or not.

abc123 was the password my dad used.

Make the password unrelated to your special interests and make the answer to your recovery questions completely unrelated from the actual questions themselves.
