^^ I am very sorry if this is a silly question however I but wished to as why many individuals enjoy wearing these happy cosmetics? I believe I am often blessed by happy deodorant as in the past I have offended individuals with happy smelly friends that they find unhappy. However, I did not understand the purpose of these items. I do not understand the emphasis on the physical appearance of a human. However, even in the event that a human does value such matters, surely just seeing an individual with make-up or smelling their perfume or after-shave merely suggests that they are wearing make-up or perfume or after-shave. ^^ I am very sorry if I offend any individual however I believe I but find this happy topic rather interesting.

After shave can help moisturize the skin after shaving to prevent irritation, as well as just smell nice.

But I do feel that a lot of women put on too much make-up and it isn't at all necessary or benificial.

I wear deodorant and that's about it; I am not fond of make-up or perfume/body sprays. Actually I hate the latter, it gives me headaches and just makes me so sick.

People do seem to put too much on appearance. I could care less what most people looked like.

Smell is one of those common courtesy things that is considered socially responsible thing to do. Since bacteria under the arms can produce some smelly compounds in between baths, deodorant masks that smell. It is the equivalent of a powdered wig for greasy heads in the old days. Perfume is more of a sexual attractant. After-shave I believe constricts the skin and medicates micro-cuts in addition to providing that clean, masculine smell.

Most of people interaction is based on deception. Most people seem to be trying to accomplish contrasting ideals at the same time: blending in with the crowd (don't want to be smelly offensive) and standing out far enough to catch the right attention (perfumes and cosmetics). I sometimes wish people would just be sincere with each other.

Gee, why do you feel sorry about a "silly question". Please, have a little more self-confidence!

I don't find cosmetics "happy". It is okay that you enjoy them though.

No to all of the above for me. I don't like to smell like anything. I use alcohol in a spray bottle for my armpits as it sterilizes the skin thereby killing the bacteria that causes odors. I also shower regularly. I really can't stand persistent odors, so I try not to smell like anything.

I have worn the same type of deodorant for the past 10 years or so. Once I tried a scent that was new. I thought it smelled good, but the first time I wore it someone I worked with asked if I had eaten spaghetti because that's what I smelled like. I never wore it again.

I never use aftershave, but just wash my face with soap and water after shaving. I can stand the burning but I can't stand putting something that strong smelling right under my nose.

All I remember was that it was Old Spice, it was new around 2007 and it wasn't called Pure Sport. My guess is that they discontinued it so you have nothing to worry about. But if hungry Italian girls start following you around then you'll know.

I don't use any of that stuff. Only chemicals I usually put on my body are soap & shampoo. I don't even use shaving-cream; hot water works just as good. BTW I find shaving certain "parts" including my pits helps cut down the sweating a little. Most everyone living in south Louisiana in the summer sweats like a pig anyways so I see little point in using chemicals to try & cover it up(I don't know how the goths & EMOs survive but I don't see many). I have very sensitive skin(Atopic Dermatitis) & bad sinus problems so those hygiene & cosmetic products are BAD to me

It certainly could have its perks. Then again you might get stuck with the Italian grandmother pinching your cheeks and saying "Mangia, mangia!"

A hint of suitable cologne/perfume goes far in subconsciously raising desirability.
