Bananas are a total bad thing to me. Can't stand the texture, but more importantly the smell. But usually I will eat banana muffins or banana bread with no problem. But sometimes when mom makes them "because I know you like them" I refuse them. I can't even explain why. Therefore I confuse her which frustrates her. ...Oops.

Anyone? Anyone at all?

Yes I do have this problem. It especially happens when I'm overwhelmed. I don't like eggs anymore, because they usually make me feel weird and icky, but I will eat anything that uses eggs in it, even some soups. but sometimes, I can't eat these either.

Chef Boyardee's Beef Ravioli. Sometimes I crave it and it's all I want to eat, and other times it makes me want to gag.

For me, it's fruit. I love it, and than I don't touch it for a while, and than I love it, again.

Onions. Raw ones I will never dare to eat; when fried or changed in some way I love them.

Sometimes I'll drink coffee for months (albeit heavily diluted with milk), though most times I can't even go near it without becoming ill.

I relate to much of what's been said: The eggs; The potato chips; The fruit. I feel this way about chicken, pork, cakes and biscuits too.

I can also relate to the OP's mum because two of my four children do the same sort of thing to me. However, because I can personally relate, I understand and don't make a huge deal of it.

Although, they have to put up with my asking them, on a regular basis, if they feel like eating their particular love/hate foods before I cut lunches and such.

I thought I clicked on the "what toys do you play with" thread and then I saw this. I was thinking "doesn't this belong in the adult discussion forum..."

Anyways, I alternate between liking and disliking certain cereals, such as cinnamon toast crunch.

I go true phases with food sometimes where I eat something a lot because I like it but after a while I get burntout on it & don't like it anymore or don't want to eat it for a while but my like it after I take a break. What I alternate between liking & disliking is the soda drink Dr.Pepper. I sometime want to drink one but shortly after I start drinking it; I don't want it anymore but other times I can drink the whole can & still find it taste good. I'm drinking one rite now & I drank half of it already & still find it taste good but next time I open a can; I may end up pouring most of it out

Yogurt. I usually don't like it, but will occasionally go through brief periods of eating and enjoying it. On a more frequently changing basis, I alternate daily between liking and disliking sweet foods (in general); I usually like some (but not most) of them, but sometimes don't like them at all or am more sensitive to certain things being too sweet.

I sometimes 'go off' chocolate and it becomes disgusting after previously being enjoyable.
