The above link is a story about how it all came to be- BTW, I credit both Charlie O. Finley (who owned the Oakland A's then, even though they started wearing the white shoes the year moving to Oakland, in Kansas City) and Joe Namath for being the inspiration for my love of white shoes (from which Charlie O. Finley took inspiration from).
FYI, AFAIK, I haven't stated this before, but my favorite kind of shoes are white athletic shoes. They just make me look fast; if I did this in the 1960s, I would've gotten some crazy looks- with some people calling me a go-go dancer due to the similarities to the boots those girls wore.
