Impermanence is the way of all things. Make the best of the time you've got left.

Hating things that you can do nothing about is a waste of energy. You have the time that you have; why not fill it with something worthwhile rather than watching it pour away and lamenting its loss?

Do you know what 80 year old people say?

"Oh, if only I were 60 again!"

as i age, i find time to be more of a friend, because in my ach-ey/pain-ey/deteriorating years, time graciously goes by more quickly thus ensuring me a minimum of time spent in physical suffering. in my youth, time went by much more slowly, thus ensuring that i had a maximum of time for elementary life lessons to sink in. so on the whole, father time has been a stern but loving master for me. father time is yet turning up the throttle to speed me expeditiously towards the elysian fields in just a little while.

Father time is pretty fast for an old guy. I can't keep up with him. Reminds me of the time I was riding along on the bike trail, and some guy who had to be in his 70s sped past me. I felt pretty inadequate that day.
