I don't know if this is a mental disorder or something of asperger's. If anyone has ideas or had experienced this emotion, let me know. When I feel extreme fear of an individual, I feel murderous towards them. I feel no flight or fight. I want to crush them right then and there. What is this?? :(

Ya think? I would give anything to actually retreat immediately. The fear is evident but shouldn't a person flee. That's my problem - I don't feel the flee response. I feel the crush response but the dreadful fear at the same time. Maybe my adrenals are screwed up? :(

Just guessing. If you fear this person because they have hurt you, perhaps it's a vengeful feeling if you want to hurt them in return. Someone might not flee if they are petrified.

If it is revenge, nothing good will come from acting on those sorts of impulses. If someone is making you feel petrified, please seek help. Context is everything of course.

Fight?

Fight is responding to stimuli. It's suppressing fear and taking action, whether it's defense or heading towards danger. I don't ever recall having feelings of wanting to hurt someone in response, it's just reacting to clear and present danger to yourself or others.

It's the adrenaline your body is pumping round you in order to fight or run. Mine comes as such a shock that I even

though I'm scarred I feel like I could head but my enemy. I wonder if the change feels more extreme in women

because we are not used to dealing with testosterone.

"vindictive" is the urge commit revenge. So its not that. Because they haven't yet done anything to you that you would want to avenge.

Sounds like how many folks respond to the site of a big spider: fear, and then the urge to stomp it.

"Revulsion" maybe.

In what situations does this feeling occur?

I used to have violent thoughts all the time and I thought everyone had them. Apparently it's not normal. But my therapist didn't feel I was a danger because I had no intention of acting on it and I knew of the consequences.

I am not sure what this is but I thought I was a psychopath lol and the only difference was I was a good one because I would never act on it.

Is there a reason why you feel this way towards the person? Why do you not like them?

Indeed, I was working from an assumption about the context of what causes this extreme fear. Using "Murderous" is very extreme which made me think rage.

Mm my XH mentioned that

‘When i am afraid i dont want to run i want to turn around n destroy the person it makes mefeel powerful’

I think the ‘powerful’thing may not apply to u or if it does it is understandable as being oppressed feels so bad
Tht it makes sense tht a person wd rather feel powerful to protect themselves n their way of life

Just don’t act on it and once ur fear dissipates or u can escape the situation u will have been exposed to it enough tht

hopefully ur brain will realize it wasnt the human equivalent of a bloodthirsty drAgon or even if it was u got out of it without violence.
