Do you ever find this to be true?

Do you ever find yourself reading a post and--without knowing the poster's gender (sounds funny, I know)--immediately guessing what it is and you turn out to be correct? (The member does not state their gender in the post or any other post you have read; nor is it somewhere like the Women's Discussion.) I find it odd that this happens frequently, especially with new members, and the member's word choice/syntax/typing style/etc. is quite neutral gender-wise. There must be something subtle in there... or perhaps you just have a 50% chance of getting it right and you get lucky all the time.

Sometimes, though usually when guessing I'm wrong :P

sometimes, yes. i think there's something about the wording/syntax etc but would struggle to pinpoint exactly what it is..
generally speaking guys & gals tend to express things differently i think, but this seems much less so with those on the autistic spectrum.
incidentally, i think when i'm being my approximation of funny & dare i say, witty, my posts seem more 'masculine'. also, when i'm more laconic.
however, when i'm more expressive & loquacious, putting more thought (albeit spontaneous thought) into what i say, i think i seem more 'feminine'. generally speaking anyway.
just a thought :)

Not as such. I may at some point while reading start to guess, but I don't have sudden flashes of conviction.

Except trolls, who I automatically assume to be male.

I don't generally guess physical gender correctly, but I find I'm rather good at guessing someone's gender identity.

Sometimes I am wrong... like if they have misleading avatars... else I think I guess based on their posts... but no I am not very good at it... I just assume all avatar-less people to be male

I'm the opposite, I often guess wrongly. Don't know why.

I'm very bad at that.
