I used to be exactly that way, finding one pair that I liked and sticking with them for years, then replacing them with the exact same type (or as close to it as possible). I have recently learned to appreciate (some) shoes, though, and am ashamed to say that I own a few pairs. When I was younger, I liked to ridicule women for their love of shoes, which I couldn't comprehend in the slightest. Now, I have an inexplicable fondness for boots.
I hate shoe shopping, though. I don't enjoy it and I'm no good at, since I think almost everything is hideous and/or uncomfortable. I had to buy a pair with which to do some light hiking a few weeks ago. I walked into the store and was immediately accosted by the clerk. I was most displeased.
Salesgirl: What are you looking for?
Kaybee: Um. Shoes.
Salesgirl: O-kay.... We have lots of those.
Kaybee: Perfect.
<awkward silence>
