Does anyone else have problems with shoes? I remember as a child buying new shoes was a complete nightmare. I never liked any of the shoes my mother thrust at me. We would spend all day wandering around shoe shops, both of us getting more and more stressed. I could never understand why I couldnt just have the same pair of shoes each year, just a bit bigger.

Now I wear the same pair of shoes to death before I can stand to start wearing new ones. I know other women love shoes, and want lots of different pairs for different occasions. I would rather just have one pair, that I can wear all the time. Actually, I'd rather go bare foot all the time, and I do at home.

Ive been wearing the same pair of sneakers for more than 3 years. They have huge holes in them, and stones get in when I walk. But although I have other shoes I could wear, I still can't stand to let them go.

I've been wearing the same shoes and boots for along time too. When I was young though I liked the shoes that lit up while you walked

Sorry I can't relate. I love shoes. Beautiful high heel shoes. I can never have enough of those. They are my biggest weakness :oops:

I thoroughly detest changing the pairs of shoes I wear months at a time; therefore, I cannot go one day wearing one pair and the next day wearing another pair, then back to wearing the original pair... Once I get a new pairs of shoes, old ones = old ones.
That being said, I always wear moccasins. I have had seven or eight pairs of the same model in the past few years, and it's about time for new ones... I hate shoe shopping. And shoe switching.

I hate shoes, and go barefoot whenever possible. That being said, I have 3 pairs of shoes - cheap flip flops for whenever I can get away with them, and a pair of athletic shoes and a pair of slip-on flats for when something else is required.

Lace-Bane tends to buy a pair of shoes and then wear them until they are ratty and then replace them with the same exact pair :|

He wore Vans skate shoes for about 8 years, and now wears Dockers boot sort of shoes and probably will for a good few or more years until he gets bored with them :D

I used to be exactly that way, finding one pair that I liked and sticking with them for years, then replacing them with the exact same type (or as close to it as possible). I have recently learned to appreciate (some) shoes, though, and am ashamed to say that I own a few pairs. When I was younger, I liked to ridicule women for their love of shoes, which I couldn't comprehend in the slightest. Now, I have an inexplicable fondness for boots. :?

I hate shoe shopping, though. I don't enjoy it and I'm no good at, since I think almost everything is hideous and/or uncomfortable. I had to buy a pair with which to do some light hiking a few weeks ago. I walked into the store and was immediately accosted by the clerk. I was most displeased.

Salesgirl: What are you looking for?
Kaybee: Um. Shoes.
Salesgirl: O-kay.... We have lots of those.
Kaybee: Perfect.
<awkward silence>

I also don't care for shoes, but I have to wear them until the warmer months. After the end of April, I start wearing sandals. I don't care how bad my toenails are. I have to start wearing sandals in May, because I've made a deal with myself to allow for me to do that. Most people in my area wear shoes until the middle of June. I don't know how they can do that.
