I currently have two tattoos, and instead of describing them, I'll just post pictures of them.

I like looking at them, however I wouldn't get one, because I'm afraid of needles. I've had people show me some pretty impressive ones over the years. Another thing about tattoos is that once you get one, it's stuck there for life.

Your tattoos are great. I especially like the bird one. They're quite big - were they painful?

I'm afraid of needles too, but I still want to have one next month. Now I'm at the point where I ask everyone I know who has a tattoo what that pain could be compared to, so I'm prepared (as much as I can be) when I'll get mine done.

I'll have the cover of the Dave Matthews Band album "Before these crowded streets":

Just don't see the point in it. And judging by the sights on the beach, the women these days appear to have more tattoos than the men!

Here's my Autism tattoo (only one; left shoulder)... It represents several of my special interests, and is done in a jigsaw puzzle with a missing piece

For me, getting tattoos wasn't painful to the point of being unbearable, but it's still painful to an extent. It's sort of like getting multiple shots that last for about a half hour or so, depending on how big your tattoo is.

What I'm saying is that it is a little painful, but it's totally worth it.

I don't have any because I don't see the point in em. They attract attention & when they become uncool you are stuck with em unless you pay a lot of money & go thought a lot of pain to get em removed

I'm getting a new one done tommorrow.

Its going to be at the bottom of my back and say 'MUMA' in elvish.

One of my obessions in 'Lord of the Rings' and its also one of my mums favourite books to. She have been such a suport and help to me during all my problem that I want to show her how greatful I am.

I am not a person who really likes to be huggs, which I know she finds difficult, so I guess its my way of telling her how much she means to me.

They only attraction attention if you have them some places that shows, mine and my one to be, are both on the bottom of my back so I can choose who sees them.

I enjoy looking at other people's tattoos, but I think it would be a bad idea for me to get one for myself, especially since my interests change every couple of years.

I can't decide if I will get one or not, the boyfriend has offered to get one for me a few times before but we can't really afford to pay for one to be done and wouldn't want to risk walking round with an incomplete tattoo. Annoying I had a few opportunities to get tattooed in the past for free but passed them by.

Still not 100% sure I want one, I'm down to about 60% sure at the moment - I know what I want and where; red and black Gypsy-style head with sacred heart and Baby Bloodheart scroll on the top of my right arm, black lace band around the top of my left arm, cupcakes on my toes, and perfer et obdura; dolor hic tibi proderit olim on my right back/shoulder. I'm in two minds about keeping my skin virgin; I have piercings and scars so a tattoo isn't going to 'ruin' perfectly virgin skin:tattoos are common so tattoo-free skin would be a rarity. I also feel a bit old for tattoos. If I had the cash I think I'd be a lot more likely to tattooed.

Why bother getting em if others won't see em? I really don't understand the appeal of em but I don't see the appeal in piercings or jewelry either. Maybe I'm too logical, practical & not visual enough to get it
