Be yourself.

Because I told you to.

I'm only being myself because Helena Bonham Carter told me to.

That's an important message. I'll be myself but I'm not flashing the Kinks logo again this weekend. 8)

Twice is enough.

Good thoughts, but I've always wondered if you're an a**hole should you not be someone else?

This thought graces my mind everyday, seriously. If the answer is 'yes', then those with asper... ermmm, a**hole syndrome have quite the plight, don't they?

Good for you.

The results of the experiment are thus follows: the negative/neutral to positive response ratio is 2:1, suggesting that an "ugly" original post does influence the types of responses. If that's the case, and OPs tend to make certain types of posts (The way they word things, the topics they discuss, the ideas they explore), then an "ugly" OP would alter the negative/neutral to positive response ratio.

Suspicion verified.

my suspicion is that the other thread was started in good faith, and thus got good responses, but this thread was started as a way to make people uncomfortable and unhappy, and thus got negative responses.

If I'm going to be myself because people want me to; I would not really be being myself because I would be letting others influence me so this message is mute

But who am I really?

I can't be myself if I don't know who I am.
