More and more I feel that opposite gender friends are a sham. I feel as though there is always sexual tension for one of them and hurt feeling when one gets into a romantic relationship or a marriage. It causes BIG problems. Maybe the old-fashioned ways were better where opposite-sex friends were potential suitors and same-sex people were friends. This refers to heterosexuals only.

I was hoping this would be about a certain TV series when clicked on the link. ah. I wouldn't worry about it. I was going to say stick to what you know and stick with the lads - you won't feel hurt when one of them goes into a serious relationship but then again you might. Relationships can sever friendships with either gender - maybe they're a way of testing the strength of friendships

Most of the people who i talk to are men or raging lesbians. It is just who get on with.

It hasn't effected me yet.

How would your hypothesis work for bi-sexual and asexual people?

There are more important things to consider in a friendship besides sexuality, like Money ... Employment ... Health ... Appearance ... Interests ... Money ...
