Late into the night I stayed up, reading blogs by aspies and many other articles concerning aspergers syndrome, I do this usually onces or twice every two months. I do this just to know more about myself I guess, I feel like im lost, like I am too different next to anyone and everyone, I do have good friends, but I am different from them. so on the internet I sought out people who experience some of my own difficulties, so I can learn and just feel less painfully isolated, like I sometimes do. While I was looking at a few things, over all the time ive searched around periodicly, Ive noticed one thing, Ive noticed that some people say how they think they might be an aspie or autic, which is fair enough to say, I guess, I dont deny these people are, but then a few of them might say how they think their husband/wife might be autistic, and they think their brothers and sisters might be, and how their mother and farther probably has it as well. I stopped and wondered... Being in a family with Two autistic and/or aspergers individuals is EXREAMLY unlikley, but three... and more? come on, ive noticed this situation happens far too frequently, its simply too unlikely to believe, In my opinion, these people are completely wrong about their obserations on their life... Another point to add, they always refer to aspergers and autism like having crabs, as if you can get autism or say, \"I have autism/aspergers!\" has anyone else noticed this, like really? am I crazy or is this real. Who else thinks this is scenario is also very very unlikely.

I would have blogged this, but aparently ive made a link in here somewhere and I havnt been a member for five days yet... tell me if you see it because I sure as hell cant. It isnt edited.

It happens.

My wife's friend cares for two autistic nephews. My own father was likely Aspie/Bipolar, as are two of my cousins. The neighbor across the street has an autistic brother and an autistic son. On and on...

Well in some cases it appears to have a genetic link so there might be two or more in the same family with it, but I take your point that it may be easy to "cry wolf", so to speak, when observing other people. I'm diagnosed, and my father has some traits, but I don't think he has it. However, others, when they know the criteria, might say that he does have it.

If it says that at the end of your blog entry, then that's a glitch in the system.
