Lots of Pisces here!

I am an Aries. I was born two weeks late, and still would have been an Aries had I been born on time (in March instead of April), so I guess it was meant to be for me. LOL

Unless my adding up is wrong (and it might be)

Earth signs - 11
Fire signs - 11
Air signs - 20
Water signs - 22

Cardinal - 17
Fixed - 24
Mutable - 23

I'm interested in those last 3 and what they mean. Could you explain or post a sufficient link? Thanks ^_^

Yes. Each sign has an Element and a Quality or Mode assigned to it.

This page explains it rather well. http://www.janspiller.com/101_modes.php

http://www.wrongplanet.net/postt145680.html

Unless I've added it up wrong again (and adding is not my strong thing), the results from this thread seem to have a similar-ish distribution of elements:

Earth - 14
Fire - 9
Air - 17
Water - 26

Preponderance of water signs.

Fixed is again the most represented Quality:

Cardinal - 25
Fixed - 29
Mutable - 23

Another one here http://www.wrongplanet.net/postt35135.html

Earth - 24
Fire - 18
Air - 20
Water - 20

Cardinal - 24
Fixed - 28
Mutable - 30

Totalled up, we have a distribution that looks like this:

Fire - 38
Earth - 49
Air - 57
Water - 68

Cardinal - 56
Fixed - 71
Mutable - 76

From the statistics so far compiled, we might suggest that the chart signature of WP is Piscean (the mutable water sign)

I might rearrange these results into seasons to see if there's anything behind the idea that there's a link between winter births and higher rates of autism.

In this sample, summer births are most represented, spring births the least *shrug*

There's a few things wrong with that article.

For a start, he's decided that astrology can only work by some force exuding from planets that affects us, which is erroneous.

Quote:
Astrology is based on the principle of synchronicity. The "influence of the stars" does not exist in a causal sense. There is no causal influence at all. Astrology "works" - if this is the right word - in the way inscribed on the tabula smaragdina:

What is below is like what is above.
And what is above is like what is below,
so that the miracle of the One may be accomplished.
He's also referenced the James Randi astrology stunt which only really proves that humans are suggestible (no sh**) and that it's possible to write weak astrological reports.

Here's a good rejoinder to that article, I think Bob's got a lot of it covered here http://www.bobmarksastrologer.com/skeptics.htm

Quote:
Oh yeah... I'm a Gemini. And how come there's no Ophiuchus up there? Do Astrologers not count that or..? I was under the impression there was an effort to re-include it in the zodiac. Oh well

Hmm, I thought I'd already explained the Ophiuchus thing to you before. Maybe not so well. If you really are interested: http://www.astro.com/astrology/in_ophiuchus_e.htm

Hmm, writing is a traditional career for Geminians

PS. I'm willing to do you a natal chart report, if you'd like. No charge. I promise that no one will be harmed, and it will not damage our ability to do rational thinking. It's pretty hard to damage a Geminian's thinking anyway, they tend to be compulsive thinkers, or worse, talkers (My niece was born under Gemini)
lol... :lmao: That's for sure. My late husband was a Gemini and he would not shut up. :D He was a brilliant man and fast thinker.

I'm an Aries with a Taurus Moon and a Scorpio Ascendant. My mother was an astrologer, she did charts and read Tarot Cards (she also played electric guitar) while I was growing up in the 60's and 70's. 8)
