Dungarees. I think in the USA they may be called something different though. I was always in them as a boy and loved them. They are still worn by children here but it's very rare to see now, maybe this was a 70's/80's fashion thing. I think we are not allowed to print pictures of garments here. There was an article in The Guardian that prophesised that dungarees were to come back into fashion. If it was true, I would search for a couple of pairs to wear again, just because they were so comfortable.

I'd like to get a couple pairs, if I can find some in my size.

I checked through the search engines, seems there are plenty of sources, especially for the UK.

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia, Dungaree may refer to:
Dungarees, jeans made from denim or, in the United Kingdom, Bib and brace overalls.

I do not have any bibbed overalls ("farmer jeans") at the moment, but I have worn denim almost exclusively since I was a child.

Dungarees are still a popular trouser on the farm here in Australia, also called moleskins for casual and town wear. Sheep shearers buy a heavy duty workwear version of them for the extra layers on legs for wear and tear. I associate dungarees with lanolin soaked brutes who take hard drugs to get through the pain of a hard day crotching, shearing and killing sheep.

Have you googled dungarees. There seems to be heaps available for guys and girls in a variety of fabrics and patterns.

Well "cute" would probably apply to young children rather than someone my age, I have researched and found that dungarees are quite expensive, say £40 and upwards but then most things that are rare tend to attract a higher value.

humm. the only adults ive seen wearing them wear the straps undone and hanging loose around the waist- kind of like a normal pair of jeans really. but if i saw an adult wearing them toddler-style id probably think it looked cute too:)

Here in America we call dungarees "overalls". I love them a lot and I really want to get a pair. Unfortunately my mom thinks I am too old for them. They are also kind of pricey, and I would like to save my money for something I would want even more (like merchandise related to my special interests).

Thanks [there's still hope!]... but going around with the straps undone? noooo, why don't people where things how they are meant!

Lee's made very good low rise dungarees, but I haven't seen them in a few years here in Canada

I was never quite sure what dungarees were.

In Australia we wear "moleskin" pants, and no, they aren't made from moles.

No 'moleskins' are 'moleskins' and dungarees are what we call 'bib overalls' down under cuz.

My faves were the old school 'Hard Yakka' ones, heavy canvas and cut just right... nowadays people seem to think they are only worn by rednecks and lesbians, personally I felt more like a hillbilly in them

I just call them overalls.

There's stuff similar coming back into fashion in the form of 80's looking jumpsuits. I've been looking for a jumpsuit with a good harem pant like lower half.

Surely not. Like shell-suits? "Alright, alright, calm down, calm down!"...
