I like cats, but I'm somewhat allergic to them. In fact, half of all the pets I've ever had gave me allergies. And I was the one who wanted many of these pets and the one who was taked with taking care of them and playing with them. I used to play with my rats when I let them ot of their cage and I'd get wicked allergies. But now, the only animal I currently have that I'm allergic to is my cat. She really likes to sit with me when I play piano.

I find kittens to be entertaining, but I'm allergic to all cats... I'm highly allergic to long-haired ones, not surprisingly; aunt had two, but now one, and I can't go to her house for 15 minutes before signs of reaction show up, even if I'm not in the same room as the cat. It isn't like that at my other aunt's house. She just has one short-haired cat, and as long as I don't touch him or someone who touches him doesn't touch me, I'm fine the whole time. So the allergy is not as severe as others', but it is still not mild. I'd classify it as moderate.

I cannot really say I like cats, but my wife and I do have a cat and she (the cat) is far more "mine" than my wife's. So while "like" is not really the word here, I definitely do have a certain kind of caring affection for at least this particular cat ...

... and her name?

"Cat" (and with "Kitty" or even sometimes "Kitty Cat" for short).

As for me? I love cats. Except when they poop all over the floor and pee all over my stuff.

Cats are just the best thing ever. I can't go past a cat without stopping to say hello.
I don't have pets because I'm too disorganised to look after one properly, it wouldn't be fair on it. :cry:
