"Why do people post such silly questions? This has nothing to do with autism or humans! I hate you!" I don't care, I'm posting this whether you like it or not. Anyways, one of my cat's bottom teeth is bent right over and facing outwards, out of her mouth.

"Well take it to the vet!" I know, I agree, she should be taken to the vet, but my parents are at work, and I'm a child so I don't have the confidence or independence to walk my cat 3 miles to the vet. I'm really concerned about her though :(

Sounds like she's losing the tooth. How old is she? How's her general health?

She is about 8, probably the middle-age to senior-age. And her health seems to be fine, although she sleeps about 80% of the day, and she had growth problems at a kitten so is half the size of a normal grown cat. Is it normal for cats to lose teeth? Or is their something seriously wrong? :(

Well losing a tooth won't help her kill prey, but as a domesticated moggy she should manage.

Cats live a lot longer in a domesticated environment than in the wild and processed food does not provide the same teeth cleaning action as prey, so it's not unusual for elderly cats to suffer dental problems. My cat lost a tooth but lived a few more years before dying at the age of 15. Does she let you examine and clean her teeth? Don't start now if she's not used to it unless you want to be bitten.

I can't see anything happening in the few hours before your parents get home from work.

When I was a kid we had a kitten get hit by a car and survive. (It just grazed him...) Afterwards he had a tooth like that.

My friend's cat once had a tooth like that, which fell out after some weeks. She seemed fine.

Okay we are taking her to the vet's tomorrow where it will probably be taken out. I know it sounds a big deal for just a tooth but I think it is necessary, since she won't eat, can't clean herself properly and won't let us near the tooth.

Oh, if she won't eat, I definitely agree that it should be taken out. My friend's cat had no such problems. Glad you're getting her taken care of. :)

That's good that your taking her to the vet. I don't think you're overexaggerating. I get pretty upset, too, when I see my pets are in any discomfort. In the future, perhaps you could start brushing her teeth, or giving her gum massages.

I thought this be a metaphor for something and couldn't fathom what it might mean.

Is your cut chewing on something hard that it shouldn't? I would imagine they will pull it and maybe recommend a cleaning if it is decay related.

We haven't taken her to the vet, because someone obviously wasn't aware we were and let her outside and we couldn't find her :x Anyways, her tooth fell out this morning, and she is a lot happier now :). Still, I'd like to take her to the vet to get her other teeth checked, her general health etc. We probably will do so at a later date.
