Trying to use photo of self for profile, need help

I am trying to use a photo of myself for my profile photo but every time i do i get this
"Displays a small graphic image below your details in posts. Only one image can be displayed at a time, its width can be no greater than 130 pixels, the height no greater than 160 pixels, and the file size no more than 16 KB." any idea on what i can do or should i just forget about it and stick with the options wrongplanet gives me?

Make the image smaller. There's a size limit, which is what you ran into.

No problem, but it can still be fixed. If you PM'd it to me, I bet I could make it work.

It might be the file size. I believe it must be less that 16 KB.

Yeah its way beyond that, so i think ill just stick to what i got

On TinyPic.com you can adjust the size of your photo. Just select "avatar" and upload it (this is all on the front page). It's pretty convenient.
