Okay, I find it hard to go to bed until like 4-5AM. Somehow I feel more relaxed during the night when I know everyone else in the house is still asleep and so it is the time when I entertain myself by playing video games, watching TV etc... However this is a big problem because I'm supposed to wake up at 8 for driving lessons every day... Any advice?

During the day I also close all curtains, windows, doors and stuff.

If you're wondering, yes it is 4AM and I am surfing on the internet while taking care of a hysterical cat.

I go to bed really late for the same rezones you do. What I would do would be only get a couple hours of sleep before lessons & take a nap after I got back

I have that same problem as well. I have to be in bed at 9 and up at 4. Sometimes, I don't fall asleep until 12, which is late for me. I'm working on getting to bed at 9 tonight.

i do this sometimes too, and am in a constant battle to try to rectify my sleeping pattern. it seems worse when i'm lonely/unhappy/whatever so i'm sure there's some fancy psychological reasoning behind it

My wife has a theory that I don't recognize the feeling of being sleepy very easily. She says it is very irritating that I tell her I am not tired, and then after a minute I am sound asleep.

So have you tried to sleep earlier? Could it be the same with you, that you just don't know that you are sleepy even when you are?

I have this same problem as well.

I discovered if I play my DS or PSP at bed (on lowest brightness setting), the background music on a lot of the games I play will woo me to sleep. (highly repetitive rpg games)

Also the cat sleeping with you should help calm you and get you to sleep. Its just a little less lonely; and so cute!

Not sure how closely it relates but I can never get to sleep before midnight or 1am no matter how much or how little sleep I had the night before.
Yes, it's nearly 1 now, but it's the weekend, so I would be doing this anyway ;)

I used to have this problem until I started taking a supliment called melitonin. Studies have shown the autistics are low in melitonin which regulate sleep and awake cycles according to the amount of sunlight or lack there of.

Was just thinking about this. My average bed time is 2am to 3am. Sometimes 4-5am.

I go with little sleep all the time. I think it has really screwed up my productivity. It has been that way since I first started going to school.
