This thing keeps popping up on internet boards and what not for a while now...

"A woman has two sisters. One of them dies. While attending her sister's funeral she meets the most wonderful, gorgeous etc. man that she immediately falls in love with. She doesn't take his surname and phone number however. Two weeks later, she kills her remaining sister.

Why?"

Feel free to really consider it, and give an answer. Depending of whether you answered correctly or not, you may "think like a psychopath". While I personally don't give any credit to this as a psychiatric tool (afaik, they mainly use personal history for diagnosing psychopaths), I am very interested to know more about it. How did it appear? What principles does it employ etc. Anyone else know more? I searched a bit and could only find that about 10% of internet forumites are "psychopaths".

btw, if you answered "in order to see the guy again" you "think like a psychopath".

This question was tried out on me by a friend, and I got the same answer too, that she wanted to see that there was another funeral so she could see the guy again. Apparently he believed this is a bona fide test used by psychiatrists, as if only one question was sufficient, therefore he was absolutely convinced I was an official psychopath.

This earned him well deserved short shrift and a well deserved tongue lashing.

All you need to know about the test is that it's absolute BS. The principles it works on are fear, sensationalism, ignorance, covert intimidation and herd mentality. For the record, I investigated actual bona fide psychopathy tests used in the medical field, it seems the Hare Psychopathy Checklist is a common one, and I scored myself on it and scored next to nothing.

I would of course say, "There is not enough information given to disclose a probable motive at this time."

If pressed further, I would say, "The woman did not kill her sister at all. There is no man, woman, or sisters. Your story is fictitious and never happened."

If it was absolutely necessary to provide some motive, I would say, "The new man killed the woman's sister, and framed her for his crime. The woman is completely innocent."

I wonder what that makes me?

Do you have a site for that checklist :?:
I don't think this test is good because there was no information given to suggest a different motive

With the information given, that's the only answer I can think of! (Why would they specifically mention the dream partner at that funeral etc if they don't intend a connection to be made?)

I don't know, I think it's more logical than psychopathic... :P

Only 2s I gave myself were for parasitic lifestyle & lack of long-term goals but I think it's related to being dependent because of my disabilities

She finds out her sister that she killed had her other sister killed. She also found out that the man she had been in love with had been sleeping with the two sisters and that the sister she killed had tried to frame him.

Sociopaths are often very argumentative just like you are.

That's nowhere near psychopath level.

You might be a psychopath if your SN was inspired by this song like the SN I used 9 years ago was
