The centre of the year.

How's it going?

Do any of you observe or celebrate the Solstice in any shape or form?

Enjoy the rest of the year. for everyone

I don't really celebrate it but I do acknowledge it. I've been spending some nice time soaking up some sun outside and doing back out after dinner for a long walk. Something about there being so much sunlight for so long today makes me happy and reminds me that it's officially summer. I love sunlight!

Happy Solstice!

I'll celebrate by having a nice beer. I don't have a group to celebrate with, but I might drum a little and visualize having one to celebrate with by the Equinox.

I heard that Angry Birds is going to release a Summer Soltice edition - I may be gone for a few days...

Anyway, good luck planting your crops everyone! :D

Even though it's officially summer, it's already been feeling like summer for about a month where I live. We've been having weeks of 100-degree weather.

Basically the same here. "Summer" means nothing in the sub-tropics.
I celebrated the Solstice by having my air-conditioning fixed and eating a hot dog.
Oh, and listening to the second movement of Vivaldi's "Four Seasons"
However, I do like dreaming about dancing around naked at Stonehenge with torches and so forth and watching the Sun rise.

Happy Solstice!

I put on shorts, have "Cakes & Ales", and tell the wife she's beautiful.

By the way, Midsummer's Eve is the night of August 8.

I celebrate every year... but only because the solstice happens to fall on my birthday!

Shame the longest day passed under a blanket of slate grey sky where I live, but Earth's extremity positioning is worth acknowledging :D

Thank you and happy (slightly belated) solstice to you as well. :) I was going to celebrate it, but instead spent a few hours walking to and from a gas station (broken fuel gauge on the car I was in). It was a lovely, green area, though, so it was still nice to get out.

I didn't celebrate...rarely do I celebrate the holidays these days. I have no alter set-up here, the local pagan community is iffy as hell so I have nothing to do with them, and I can't afford to go out and get drunk :P
