If you could be a tree, which would you choose and why?

I choose oak. They're twisted, scraggly, but somehow beautiful.

My namesake, the Acacia.
I identify with its characteristics.

It is a solitary, weathered and hardy tree. Occasionally shone brilliantly in bloom.
The Acacia is steeped in history and ancient cultures and is a useful and valuable plant.
It haunts the edges of deserts and holds on for dear life, establishing outposts of green on forbidding wastelands.
The Acacia is profound quiet, peace and stability.

yep 8)

An oak 'cos there's a personal and spiritual connection with that tree.
I had dreams and mediation visions of oak trees plus an oak tree is apart of my family's coat of arms. 8)

I'd be a Douglas Fir, because they remind me of Christmas.

can't decide...

the horsechestnut tree because of the dense shelter it offers and the mess it makes

the weeping willow for the way it hugs a person amongst the branches

the tamarack because it appears unremarkable and shockingly bright in turns

the aspen poplar because it can populate and clone an entire acre through suckering

... or any little tree that thrives in an unusual place, like ones that grow in the canopy of a redwood or in an eavestrough ...

I almost chose a weeping willow, but for different reasons. They provide a save little world behind their branches. A nice escape

I'd be a Truffula Tree.

Under my tufts would be Brown Bar-ba-loots
frisking about in their Bar-ba-loot suits
as they played in the shade and ate Truffula fruits.

But those trees! Those trees!
Those Truffula Trees!
All my life I'd been searching
for trees such as these.
The touch of their tufts
was much softer than silk.
And they had the sweet smell
of fresh butterfly milk.

I'd be a cherry blossom tree, because they are commonly used to signify poignant/emotional (especially romantic) moments in Japanese media.
