Have you ever noticed that usually the males profiles are full of contact informations : msn address , yahoo address , AOL address , website.... while the females profiles are usually don't have any of these infos?

Does this reflect that some males here are desperate ? or that females usually are afraid from stalker?

I've also noticed the same thing.

That's funny.

Yeah its that way on other internet sites. But here on WP single men massivily out
number single women. So its pointless for any male to try to strike up a one-on-one
with a female here. Since women are less likely to contact a male first the over all
chances of any personal communication happening are slim.

I think it's because the males come here hoping to meet girls.. a lot of the girls are married of just here for support. You could always ask them for an AIM screen name, they won't bite

stalkers.

I don't know why it is, but women get a lot more unwelcome attention from men than men do from women. Or maybe it is that men welcome all attention from women?

And while I'd say most of the men I ever meet either face to face or online are honourable, and leave me alone when I ask them to - there are just a creepy few who never let up, expressing strong desires to beat sense into me (how could I reject them?).

I am direct, blunt, I stand up for myself, and I'm not submissive towards men, so there's quite a few creeps that feel so threatened by this that they feel the need to beat some sense into me and tell me so. Why should I make things easy for them? At least I don't post the local escort agency's contact details instead. That wouldn't be fair on the honourable majority.

I have all that info in there. I have no security concerns because I have high security in my life. You cannot find my phone number or physical address. If you can find anything about me on the web, please let me know. Never ever ring my telephone. Besides, you can't because my computer's on the phone except when I'm at work, then there's an answering machine.

Women on the other hand almost always have security concerns. In general they have less physical strength, and they may be subject constant targeting by men driven by biological desire. So they develop a stronger sense of boundries, exercise greater control over access to thier persons and their lives. Given enough information and skill and time, a resourceful man might locate a woman he's obsessed with. Whether or not providing more virtual contact information represents greater risk is beside the point. Women naturally feel a greater need to be more careful about who they allow access. IMHBCO

with the stalker thing, there's not much you can do.

If you're an active internet user, they will find you elsewhere online if they want to bad enough. Not including AIM information because you're afraid of stalkers won't do much.

I understand where you're coming from though, the internet is full of creeps. This man told me in a chatroom when I was 14 to go and and have sex that night.

^^ holy s**t ! Well i heard that the new versions of yahoo messengers have no access to chat rooms because of child abuse and child porn in these chatrooms......

Me too i don't feel security problems from the net specially in this forum :
first , i am in the other side of the world and there s no local aspies here ....and i really have worse security concerns ...
second, the msn address is my secondary account that doens't really show my name like the main account....i use this account for forums and online gaming.

Hey, I never noticed that. The main reason I don't have my MSN up is because it contains my first and last names. And when I had my email up for the longest time, no one ever emailed me .
