I go to this weight-loss organization called TOPS. It's kind of like Weight Watchers or Jenny Craig. If a member loses the most weight of all the other members in the state, they're the state kind or queen. My wife is this year's state queen. She lost 129.5 lbs and she'll be going to Milwaukee, WI for the national conference or whatever.

Anyway, next years will be held in San Diego but I've only got 5 months to lose 100 lbs. so I won't be king this year. See, you have to a certain point in the year to lose the weight you want. I simply can't lose 100 lbs by December.

Next time around, however. I'll have a gym membership and I hope that I'll be eating a lot better. If I make state queen, it'll be the first time a husband and wife couple made state queen and king. If I so, I'll be going to Alberta, Canada.

Thanks for reading.

Good luck with that, MJ. I struggled with my weight when I started living on my own. It was so easy to put on, but not to take off.

Edit - Took out a BBC piece about very low calorie diets and Type 2 diabetes. I think it could have been misconstrued. Apologies if it was. That was not my intent.
