I've always had trouble with knowing what to say and what not to say when people are eating. I'm not sensitive, and can talk about anything. I used to get in trouble all the time for it. I haven't done it in quite a while. Only last week, me and some coworkers were eating pie(we were doing pie week), and I mention that a cat loses as much water while grooming him/herself as he/does urinating. The week before I was close to mentioning kopi luwak because they were talking about different places that are cool to visit, and as the person sitting across the table from me was drinking coffee, I was about to mention it when I remembered it wasn't such a good idea to say when everyone was eating.

Anyone else have trouble with table talk?

Well aside from the fact I no longer sit at tables...

Yes I used to have trouble. One time I was telling someone all about rabbits while they were eating their lunch and I started explaining how a rabbit has to digest it's food twice by eating it's poo! That was when I was younger and I didn't understand what I was doing wrong! I thought it was a perfectly okay subject considering it was about digestion, that's what you're doing at the dinner table right!?

But yeah, now I can see it was kind of gross that I was talking about rabbit poop...

Also avoid the old S-E-X at the dinner table too... Unless you're dating my brother then talk away!

My sister has the worse table talk in the world. She talks about changing my nieces diapers and bodily functions over holiday dinners.

The only time my family sits together for dinner is sunday, and we go to church, so we talk about what we learned or if anything happened.
