Is there a name for "mentally always a kid" syndrome?

I think I have that syndrome. I wish I was still a kid and I sometimes find things that only kids find funny. Also, this syndrome would partly explain why I'm struggling in school right now. I can't stand "trying hard" and life for me needs to be "fun fun fun". I can't handle the responsibilities required to succeed in university.

In terms of relationships, I don't want to date anyone. It seems too much of an "adult" thing.

So, is there actually a name for it?

The ‘Peter Pan Syndrome’ affects people who do not want or feel unable to grow up, people with the body of an adult but the mind of a child. They don’t know how to or don’t want to stop being children and start being mothers or fathers.

I think Peter Pan Syndrome is technically the correct answer, but I disagree with it.

It treats being childlike as a disease or abnormality that should be "cured" even if it is innate to your entire personality.

I am perfectly happy being childlike, that is just me, and I deeply resent any suggestions or efforts to make me become something I am not and never aspired to be: an adult.

That actually sounds like most people I met during my short time at university.

Aside from that, being "adult" is overrated.

This is me!! My neighbor told me I have Peter Pan Syndrome but it's not a bad thing! I am extremely immature for my age! I don't wanna grow up and I am afraid to because I have no concept of being an adult or living an adult life! I am extremely fearful of so many things in general! And I agree being an adult is overrated! It's no fun! I have so much fun being a kid! It makes me happy! Little kids even see as a kid not an adult! I get mad when people I know call me an adult and I tell them not to call me that or I just won 't wanna see or interact with them at all! Kinda extreme but I don't care! That's ME!!

Autism
There was an article here about autism & it said they are mentally kids. Case example was a woman in her 30s with the mind of a 5year-old.
