How can I make my avatar bigger?

See that tiny ickle picture on the left? That's as big as I can make it because it had to be smaller than 6K! I'd like it to be big enough to see, really! Can anyone help? Thanks!

go to photoshop or paint, you can resize it there. then just upload it to someplace like photobucket.

and how are people getting there avatars this big on here, it looks stupid.

Thanks Waterdogs but I already tried to sort it out in Photoshop and can't seem to.

It looks like you made it too small, what were the mesurements you put into it? my guess is make it bigger, then save it.

The instructions said it should be no bigger than 130 pixels in either direction so I made sure it was 130 tall and a little bit smaller in width. Even then the file was 6K and wouldn't upload so I made it smaller still till it was accepted. I'm probably being a bit dim here. I'll go and have another play on Photoshop!

not if your posting an image it doesn't.

Upload the original to photobucket or another hosting site and link to it instead of trying to upload it to the forum itself. I normally size mine about 100 x 100 pixels and save it as a .jpg reduced 60% or 50% in quality..as it doesn't distort, than I set the slider up a notch if it does...
