I don't have anything against girly girls. I just don't have anything in common with them and find their chosen conversation topics (make-up, boys, clothing, gossip) boring. So I generally don't associate with them.

They can be, I think. There seems to be a whole, complex politics to social interaction: complete with alliances, backstabbing, under-the-table deals, and all-out wars. My sister understands it, but I never have. Watching it from the outside is exhausting enough - I can't imagine the energy required to actually hold your own in the middle of a group of girls and keep track of who is on whose side.

Also, I wouldn't say I'm a tomboy. I've always thought of tomboys as girls who like sports/are more 'guy-like' in their demeanor. I'm just kind of me: I hate sports, I'm happy with just two or three people to talk to who have similar interests, I spend most of my free time immersing myself in <insert fictional world I'm obssessed with today here>. Right now that's Supernatural. Which is awesome, btw, and you should totally watch it and then gush with me about how awesome it is *nods*

HOWEVER. I do like Pokemon. My interest in it comes and goes, and right now I haven't played since....a few months after Black and White came out. I never even finished the game, I dunno. They took away all my favourite pokemon ): I will probably give B&W2 a shot at some point in the future. Have you read the manga?

I LOVE the manga! We should totally be friends send me a pm :D But only talk happy or fictional stuff with me, okay?

Do you also like Sonic?
:D

I don't understand the 'girly clitques', either....your sister sound's like an interesting person, though.

Its just...girliness seems to sprawn on innocence and beauty. There is nothing 'beautiful' about going around gossiping/back stabbing/ext....I don't understand?

Before I joined this forum....I was begining to believe innocence was.....evil?

Who's your favorite pokemon?....I'm curious.

Send me a pm....

I'm no girly girl(I'm MallGoth)but I love Pokemon. My favorite types of Pokemon are Dark, Poison, Psychic, Ghost and Fire.

As Cadawell pointed out - most of us don't dislike girly girls, we dislike the b*tchiness and all the crap that comes with dealing with the majority (though not all) of them.

Finding something in common can also be somewhat problematic - I can only talk about clothes, hair and makeup for so long (I can talk at length on those, I just can't do it constantly) - I need some other important subjects in there somewhere too.

Girly girls as in, shy, sensitive, sweet, cute girls; or the bitchy sluts?

If it's the quiet, shy sensitive girls then they're awesome and I get on with them very well. :)
I avoid people who are stuck up most of the time because I just can't deal with them.

I have a hard time understanding girly girls. I identify as male though I'm really female by an accident of the genes and my friends call me Mick after my favourite member of my favourite band, who I also happen to resemble a young version of, but with slightly lighter hair. Girly girls also have a hard time understanding me, as well. They don't understand why I play the drums or have a Beatles haircut. I was shocked as a child that there are some girls who can be very proud of their gender, because I felt just as uncomfortable being biologically female.

I am a girly girl in some ways and then I am not always such a girly girl. I do not wear high heels and I like make up but only to a point. I like the mall, but can take it or leave it if I find something more interesting to see or do such as a museum to see or to go hiking, etc.

I am pretty honest and do not play games when I am friends with someone. Never have liked the phony kind of people or being a frenemy.

OMG, I BROKE A NAIL!?!?!?!?!?! !?? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! My life is over!! !! !! Someone might see that my nail isn't as perfect and beautiful as the 5lbs of makeup I put on today!...

Sometimes this is how I view them. I've met some really overly dramatic chicks. They're not always this awful.

There are only 2 types of girls to me: the extremely pleasant and the extremely pain-in-the-ass.

The whole "girly girl being arrogant" thing is pretty much nonsense talk.

Same here. In a lot of cases I find I have absolutely nothing against them as they seem nice enough, but I feel un comfortable around them as I know I cannot really relate to or take an active interest in anything they say.
