I don't have any kids and I never really think about other names on myself, but I've recently taken a liking of the name "Yasuki", a Japanese name for males. I like many a Japanese name... especially those for males (Taro, Jiro, Haruki, Hikaru, etc.) I like the Japanese names Yuko, Yuki, Yumi, and Reiko--among others--for females.
I don't think I would give my kid a Japanese name unless he/she were half-Japanese.
